Journey Update 9/27/23: Medical screening complete and contracts are signed! Cassie and her IPs will be planning for embryo transfer soon!! They also met in person for the first time just a couple of weeks ago while Cassie and her husband were in London - they spent a wonderful evening together over dinner and seeing the sites of the city together! Perfect match!!

Where are you on your surrogacy journey?

Cassie recently visited San Diego Fertility Clinic for medical screening! She had the opportunity to meet with the fertility team, had her blood drawn and her uterine ultrasound evaluation completed! Cassie raved about the nurses and looks forward to the next steps! She also spent time on the water, enjoying the California sunshine!

What's next??

Embryo transfer updates to come! :)

UPDATE! Cassie found her match! June 2023

What advice would you offer to first time surrogates entering into the match process?

I would say that you have to go into this process with a lot of love in your heart; you are helping someone with the best gift they will ever receive. It's important to thoroughly research and understand the surrogacy process, including the legal and medical aspects. It's also important to find a reputable agency or lawyer to guide you through the process and ensure your rights and interests are protected. Additionally, it's important to have open and honest communication with the intended parents to establish expectations and boundaries. I would then say taking care of your physical and emotional health throughout the process is crucial.

How did you know your intended parents were the right fit for you?

I found that the conversation went really well and just felt easy! I knew what I wanted going into this and having the same intentions with my IPs made it so much easier for me to say yes. They are so kind and I look forward to getting to know them! You just have a gut feeling that the experience is going to be really good for all of us!

What are you most looking forward to in the next steps?

I look forward to the whole process. The thing I’m most excited for is the embryo transfer and hoping it all goes well and I have the privilege of carrying a healthy baby for my IPs. Also giving birth and watching my IPs see their baby for the first time is something that makes me feel super emotional. Being a mom myself, I know how breathtaking it is seeing your baby and I’m so honored and blessed to be able to give the best gift to someone, so it's really the whole process that I’m so excited about!

We are so excited that Cassie has found her perfect match, and we are so happy that she agreed to share her journey with our community along the way.

Meet Cassie

Cassie is a first-time surrogate that was recently matched!! She has been a joy to work with. She is warm, communicative, thoughtful, energetic, and eager to begin her story as a surrogate!

We asked Cassie to introduce herself and this is what she shared (we're sure you will see her big heart as readily as we have!):

I’m 27 years old, born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, currently living in Ohio. I first met my husband when he was stationed at Luke AFB, which is located in Arizona, and shortly after, we got married and had our first baby boy who is now 6 years old. We lived in Delaware when we had our daughter who is now almost 3 years old. My husband is out of the Air Force and working in the Aviation Industry and also in the Reserves. I have been a homemaker for 5 years now and am truly blessed to be able to raise my babies at home.

As far as myself, I enjoy reading, going to the mountains, binge-watching reality tv, and making memories I hope one day my kids will cherish. My husband is my best friend and I’m so blessed to have someone support me in anything I do. We have decided that our two babies are enough for our family and it’s the reason I have chosen to become a surrogate. Can’t wait to start this journey!

What brought you to commit to a surrogacy journey?

I reached a point in my life where I really wanted to do something great and make a difference - show my children that kindness can be spread in many different ways. With that being said, after having a family of my own, I feel that everyone who is wanting one of their own should be able to have one. I started researching surrogacy and then became excited about having the opportunity to give someone the most beautiful gift. I wanted to make a difference in another person's life. A short experience for me is the beginning of a lifetime for someone else. I say this because when you become a parent, it’s forever, and I get to help a family realize their dream. It warms my heart to be able to give this gift to someone. This is why I have decided to pursue my journey of surrogacy.

Why did you choose Collective Surrogacy to guide your journey?

I researched for and applied with a few agencies, but with Collective, all our communications have been warm and I felt like I wasn't just a "client," but an important part in another couple's life. I spoke to the same person every phone call, Diane, and she has been nothing but amazing so far. I haven’t met her in person yet I feel I trust her and that she is truly supporting me in every way. Finding an agency that treats you like family is so important and with Collective that’s what they do! These amazing women are doing something so special. I think of Collective as a small local business doing big things for people looking to start a family. I can’t picture myself with any other agency.

What have you been most excited or nervous about so far in the process?

There haven’t been many nerves yet in my process as Diane has made me feel extremely comfortable. I’m so excited to match with my future IPs and share this journey with them. I’m hoping to have the best relationship with my future IPs, as I know how amazing of an experience starting a family is.

What are you most looking forward to in the journey?

Growing as a person, pushing myself to do things I didn’t think I would ever do, and enjoying every moment in life as we can never take it for granted. Just looking forward to making my future IPs dreams come true.

We truly look forward to guiding this lovely future surrogate on her first journey. Thank you for your willingness to give this gift to another family, Cassie!
